We started Citydesignlab as a way of responding to what our clients told us they most needed; a design integrator, who can support the urban redevelopment process, with an intent of making cities function better for people and the environment.
Our capabilities include:
Project Management: we have expertise leading large projects and working with teams in the development of scope, contracts, scheduling, client interface, and consultant and city coordination on an urban project of scale.
Design Services: we have a long and successful track record of creating award winning design that is both compelling and implementable. Project types we focus on include downtown regeneration, sports and entertainment, transit and mobility districts, innovation districts, and universities.
Engagement: with complex organizations and communities, the art of building trust, creating a shared vision and driving collective decision making is critical. We provide engagement throughout the project cycle to bring communities into the process in ways that empower and motivate.
Research and Teaching: we can provide the data sets necessary to provide the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’ of a project. We study human behavior within urban districts and benchmark case studies for comparison. We also engage with local universities and thought leaders to find innovative solutions to challenging problems.
